Winner of Bank Alfalah Rising Talent Award Announced at the Fashion Pakistan Week 2016
Out of the four debut designers who contended for the Bank Alfalah Rising Talent Award on the first day of the Fashion Pakistan Week 2016, Uzair Sardar was declared as the winner of the competition today. Uzair Sardar from Asian Institute of Fashion Design received the Rising Talent Award and a cheque of Rs. 500,000 from Aly Mustansir, Chief Marketing Officer at Bank Alfalah. Through the award, the Bank provides a prestigious platform for young designers to showcase their talent and transform their ambitions into success.
The winner of the Bank Alfalah Rising Talent Award was decided through transparent voting of jurors as well as the general public. The other three contestants who got the opportunity to showcase their designs for the first time ever at the Fashion Pakistan Week 2016 included Nida Sohail from Asian Institute of Fashion Design, Syeda Urmia Naqvi and Shanza Jamil from Indus School of Arts and Architecture.

The Fashion Industry in Pakistan has grown significantly over the past decade, playing a pivotal role in not only boosting the image of Pakistan globally but also generating significant revenue. Bank Alfalah’s Rising Talent Programme aims to motivate, inspire and recognise young and upcoming talent in the country and provide them with opportunities to showcase their talent.
