The 24-year-old Tekken prodigy from\nLahore, Arslan \u2018Ash\u2019 Siddique did the unthinkable and won EVO Japan and EVO USA\nin the same year. His massive wins resulted in global stardom in the world of\ne-sports and now the first Red Bull athlete based out of Pakistan has\nunsurprisingly, rightfully earned the title of ESPN e-sports Player of the Year\n2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The official ESPN website hypes up Ash,\nstating, \u201cArslan Ash\u2019s dominance in Tekken didn\u2019t just make him a superstar\nthough. It put Pakistan on the map for e-sports,\u201d and that \u201cAsh\u2019s story of\novercoming the odds and becoming Tekken\u2019s top dog for most of 2019 resonates\nbeyond e-sports.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The young Tekken maestro couldn\u2019t\ncontain his excitement either. He said, \u201cSince I started my international\ncareer last year, I was a fan of the 2018 ESPN Player of the year \u2018SonicFox\u2019.\nSo it\u2019s unbelievable that I followed up and became the 2019 ESPN e-sports\nPlayer of the Year.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Besides winning over ESPN\u2019s jury, Ash\nalso won the Twitter poll with 60% votes to become the unanimous, undisputed\n\u2018Best Player\u2019 of 2019. \u201cOther more popular e-athletes like Bugha have Twitter\nfollowers in six digits and I am only at 25 thousand,\u201d said the 2019 Tekken\nking. \u201cYet my fans fully supported me and I am so thankful to all of\nthem.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With his mother continuing to inspire\nand mentally train him for big games, the local legend continues to rise and\nrise. Icarus be damned, Ash has already touched and moved beyond the sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In an earlier interview with Red Bull, he said, \u201cI always move forward with a dream to achieve. 10 years ago, my dream was to collect one hundred thousand (Pakistani) rupees. My next dream was to become the number one player in Pakistan. Then it was to become the number one player in the whole world and to win two consecutive EVOs for Pakistan. I have fulfilled that.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
