Powerful speakers along with engaging panel\ndiscussions and activities kept the YLC event immersive and insightful.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The third day of the event revolves&nbsp;around the theme of\n\u2018Economic Leadership\u2019 which opened with a plenary session which explored the\nnotion of what it means to be wealthy for a young Pakistani adult. The session\ndelved into the deeper meanings; unfolding many aspects of wealth, its\nacquisition and its management. As the event moved to its 4<sup>th<\/sup> Day themed \u2018History,\nCulture &amp; Politics\u2019, numerous sessions provided insights on topics such as\ncrowd-funding, Human Centred Design Thinking, freelancing, Influencer\nMarketing, profile building, finding future jobs, financial literacy. They\ndelivered powerful and impactful speeches to YLC\u2019s future leaders implying the\nneed to immerse in politics and to promote historical and cultural significance\nfor a country\u2019s viable future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Day 3 kicked off with a dialogue activity \u2018Job VS Business\u2019 under\nthe moderation of Umair Jaliawala along with panelists Badar Khushnood, Sajjeed Aslam, and Maria Umar. The panel discussion aimed to get participants familiar the stakes\nof the implications of choosing a job over business and vice versa.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Faisal Bari, Co-author of the National Human Development\nReport proceeded to hold a riveting discussion whilst presenting a case for\nPakistan titled \u2018Human Development for Economic Independence\u2019. Economic\nstability is not possible without investing on human development and growth.\nDuring his session he shed light on how our neighbouring countries have a\nwonderful case study of investing in skilled labour and reaping the benefits.\nIn a 45-minute-long discussion with participants, an interactive engagement led\nto contemplating on facts like how can Pakistan start and implement human\ndevelopment for economic independence and what considerations and steps are\nneeded to be taken to achieve prosperity at all levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A panel discussion titled \u2018Re-thinking Digital for Economic Growth\u2019;\nmoderated by Badar Khushnood featuring Syed Muzammil Hassan, Sadaf Zarar,\nRoshan Ejaz and Faisal Malik was conducted to discuss the advent of digital\neconomy. The panel explored how the growth of the digital economy in recent\ndecades is unprecedented and has been a major contributor to recent economic\ngrowth, the booming stock market, and the revival of productivity. They also\npointed out how youth can upgrade themselves to survive and add value in this\never-changing digital economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking\nabout the initiatives, Faisal Malik, Director Commercials Daraz told that the\nplatform has initiated its Daraz university &amp; seller facilitation centers\nat 50 Daraz hubs across Pakistan which provides learning tools for e-commerce. He\nfurther spoke about the importance of workplace discipline and gender equality\nat work, stating, &#8220;Daraz is an equal opportunity employer and we believe\nthat training and educating talented women is an economic imperative.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During Day 3 and Day 4, speakers who are experts\nin their own fields including Farah Arif, Zain Ashraf, Muzammil Hassan, Sohail\nIftikhar, Monis Rahman, Shahzad Nawaz, Arsal Fahim, Jibran Nasir, Ejaz Haider&nbsp;and\nWaqar Ali shared their experience, knowledge and energy with the crowd by\nspeaking about the skills required for the current and future workforce.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jibran Nasir, who needs no introduction, took the center stage on\nDay 4 to inspire the participants to not only be vocal about the socio-economic\ninjustices plaguing the country but take a firm stand against them. In his own\nunique no-holds-barred style, he addressed the audience. \u201cIt is so much easier\nto hate the circumstances, leaders, people, culture and everything but us. We\nare vocal people and we will bash to no end, sitting in our cushy drawing rooms\nthings we can\u2019t stand, but when we need to stand up, we back away into\noblivion, in fear and apathy. The truth is, taking a stand means is at the\ncore, standing for your own morals, values and principle &#8211; taking a stand for\nwho you are.\u201d \u2013 He stated in his speaking session. In his session he highlighted\nthe thought process, decision-making, the risks and the choices we make to make\na firm stand in our words and actions against the things we hold close to their\nhearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To enrich participant\u2019s understanding of Pakistan\u2019s heritage, a\nfield trip was organized through the walled city of Lahore. Participants came\nacross the splendors of Mughal and British Colonial architecture which left\nthem awestruck.
