The Abbassciy Family Foundation (TAFF)\nmarked the graduation of its seventh cohort of students from its Vocational\nTraining Institute (TAFF-VTI) today at a ceremony held in Karachi. Attended by\nfaculty, staff, industry partners, students and their families, and alumni of\nTAFF, the ceremony was a great success at marking a key milestone in the lives\nof the graduates. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ms. Frieha Altaf, CEO of Catwalk\nevent management and productions, leading entrepreneur, business woman, and\nsupporter of women\u2019s empowerment, was the Guest of Honor at the ceremony. Addressing\nthe occasion, she said \u201cAs a female entrepreneur, I strongly support women\nachieving economic independence, equality and freedom. 60% of educated\nPakistani women are not working after marriage. By maximizing women\u2019s economic\nparticipation, Pakistan can accelerate its economic growth, and eradicate\npoverty. I admire and appreciate TAF Foundation\u2019s role for women in the field\nof vocational educational & training.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Course completion certificates\nwere distributed among graduates who had successfully completed the 4-month\nintensive training program in the fields of Customer Service & Retail\nSales, Elderly Care Assistant and Cooking & Housekeeping. Shields were\nawarded to the top 3 position holders and appreciation certificates were presented\nto students who maintained 100% attendance throughout the course. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Azfar Saeed Baig, CEO, TAF\nFoundation, while addressing the gathering, said: \u201cWomen are society\u2019s backbone.\nTAFF\u2019s mission is to eliminate injustice against women by empowering them to\nbecome economically independent.
