Momentum Tech Conference,\nPakistan\u2019s leading technology and entrepreneurial event, is launching its third\nedition on 30th April and 1st May, 2019 in a partnership with Pearl Continental\nHotel, Karachi. This year, on the third installment of the Momentum Tech\nConference, 100 start-ups from all over Pakistan will participate and compete\nagainst each other for the final win. The pre-event activities including\ninitial pitching among 100 startups will take place on 28th<\/sup> and 29th<\/sup>\nApril, 2019 at National Incubation Centre, Karachi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Momentum is a global startup\ncommunity designed to educate, inspire, and connect Pakistani entrepreneurs who\nwork on innovation and disruptive technologies, to create a knowledge economy\nto drive Pakistan\u2019s growth over the coming years. It is the only platform that\nbrings together the entire eco-sphere: startups, investors, incubators, and\nother stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, 300 startups along\nwith exceptional entrepreneurs and innovative minds from all across the\necosystem were engaged through speaker sessions, workshops, and attendance. It\nprovided attendees the exposure to learn from 500 different mentors, 100\nspeakers and the journey of these startups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI started this journey in\n2016 after I was back from Mobile World Congress. So far, it has been an\nimmensely amazing experience for me. Getting tech giants like Facebook, Google,\nIBM, Microsoft, AWS to attend momentum and seeing them share the stage was a\nhumbling experience\u201d, said Amir Jafri, the Founder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from various startup pitches,\nthis year\u2019s conference is unique with respect to experiential activities and\nproduct launches at the event. Startup 100, a new addition this year, is a\nvertical based competitive process in which 100 startups will not only present\ntheir ideas, but also give firsthand experience through product launches. . The\nwinners will be awarded $10,000 worth of cash and services. The top ten\nstartups from Startup 100 product shall pitch on the main stage for the grand\nprize and out of them, the top three will win monetary prizes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sana Mela, Program Director,\nMomentum Tech Conference, says, \u201cThis platform is not just any ordinary event\nbut an experiential accelerator for all of us.<\/strong> It is an opportunity for the entrepreneurs and by the\nentrepreneurs. The organisations that are part of the conference have a lot of\nexperience which work directly with founders and they all will engage as a team\nto execute several activities during the event.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Momentum\u2019s collaborations for\nthis year include Virtual Force for Startup 100, Covalent for Fitech Hackathon,\nDaftarkhwan for investor management, Radical and Impact Dynamics for conducting\nworkshops amongst many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Out of four categories of\npasses, the most basic pass is \u2018Student Pass\u2019 which is specifically designed\nfor students with basic access, and the most privileged pass is \u2018Influencers\nPass\u2019 which has all the VIP access. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference, spread over\ntwo days, will host many different activities happening simultaneously. There\nwill be an exclusive roundtable session on day 1 where influential females will\nbe present to share their challenges which will be co-hosted with Sehat Kahani.\nApart from this, the event will see product launches, startup pitches,\nworkshops, networking, job fair, music and entertainment among other\nactivities. On the event, developers, designers and entrepreneurs will be\nengaged in Fintech Hackathon which aims to create new customer experiences and\nrevenue models by leveraging Pakistan\u2019s digital payment ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
