Lahore University of Management\nSciences (LUMS) is pleased to announce that Suleman Dawood School of Business\n(SDSB) has achieved AACSB International accreditation<\/a> as the first\nbusiness school in Pakistan to attain this prestigious recognition. The Association to Advance Collegiate\nSchools of Business<\/a> (AACSB\nInternational) was founded in 1916 as a non-profit organisation. It has become\nthe most significant accreditation body for business schools, connecting\nstudents, educators, and businesses worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Synonymous with the highest standards of\nquality, AACSB Accreditation<\/a> inspires new ways\nof thinking within business education globally and, as a result, has been\nearned by only 5 percent of the world’s schools offering business degrees at\nthe bachelor level or higher. Today, 836 institutions across 55 countries and\nterritories maintain AACSB Accreditation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAACSB Accreditation recognises\ninstitutions that have demonstrated a focus on excellence in all areas,\nincluding teaching, research, curricula development, and student learning,\u201d\nsaid Stephanie M. Bryant, executive vice president and chief accreditation\nofficer of AACSB International. \u201cAs the first in Pakistan, Lahore University of\nManagement Sciences\u2019 commitment to earning accreditation is a true reflection\nof their dedication\u2014not only to their students, alumni network, and greater\nbusiness community, but to the higher education industry as a whole,\u201d said\nBryant. \u201cToday\u2019s students are tomorrow\u2019s business leaders, and the addition of\nSDSB to the network of AACSB-accredited business schools will have a lasting\npositive impact for their institution, both locally and globally.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AACSB Accreditation provides a\nframework of 15 international standards against which business schools around\nthe world assess the quality of their educational services. These standards ensure\ncontinuous improvement and provide focus for schools to deliver on their\nmission, innovate, and drive impact. AACSB-accredited schools have successfully\nundergone a rigorous review process conducted by their peers in the business\neducation community, ensuring that they have the resources, credentials, and\ncommitment needed to provide students with a first-rate, future-focused\nbusiness education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
