It is the first organisation in the Middle East to be granted an extended Part 21J Design Organisation Approval by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to undertake major cabin design and modification. Etihad Airways Engineering is also the\u00a0only MRO in the Middle East deemed eligible\u00a0by EASA to apply for a\u00a0Production Organisation Approval under EASA Part 21G in 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1476858773837_18573\" class=\"yiv8646200486MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Jeff Wilkinson, Chief Executive of Etihad Airways Engineering, said: \u201cWe have been investing heavily and steadily in developing our 3,300-strong team of aviation professionals, and expanding our MRO capabilities on new and established platforms.
